This notice explains what information inmygenes collects when you visit our website or fill in our survey, why we collect it, and your rights. We keep it short and plain. If anything is unclear, email us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
Who we are
inmygenes is a trading name of INMYGENES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [NUMBER]), registered office [ADDRESS]. We are the "controller" of your personal data, which means we decide how it is used.

What we collect
When you fill in our survey ("Help build the jean"):
- About your fit: your height, waist and leg size, usual UK size, the leg shapes and rise you prefer, what goes wrong with jeans for you, and what you would pay.
- About you: your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
- Your choices: whether you want marketing emails, and whether you would like to do a video chat or apply to be a fit tester.
- How you found us: the link you used (for example TikTok or Instagram), so we know which channels work.
When you visit our website, our website platform and form provider may also collect basic technical information, such as your device type and pages visited.
You do not have to fill in the survey. If you don't give us your email, we can't send you your recommended size or enter you into the prize draw.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced our interests against yours. You can object at any time (see Your rights).
We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. Your recommended size is worked out from your answers to help you, and you are free to choose any size.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We use trusted services to run our website, survey and emails. They process your data only on our instructions:

We may also share data if the law requires it, or with professional advisers such as our accountant or lawyer.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these services store data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure your data is protected by an approved safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or a UK adequacy decision. You can ask us for details.
How long we keep it
- Survey answers: until 12 months after our launch, then deleted or fully anonymised. If you become a customer, we keep your size details to help with future orders.
- Email address for marketing: until you unsubscribe. We then keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again.
- Prize draw entries: until 6 months after the winner is announced.
- Video chat and fit tester details: until 12 months after our launch.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your data
- Restrict how we use it
- Move your data to another provider (data portability)
- Withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our emails
Your right to object: you can object at any time to us using your data based on our legitimate interests, and to any use of your data for direct marketing. If you object to marketing, we will stop.

Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we use your data, please contact us first and we'll try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator: ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.

Our survey and prize draw are for people aged 18 and over.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to work properly and to understand how visitors use it. Where cookies aren't essential, we ask for your consent through our cookie banner.
